I'm a lucky man, I live in a land full of Castles, and never have to go far to be at one.

As a child the atmosphere of castles intrigued me, and I set out to discover more. They still intrigue, as do the Stories and Histories that surround them.

As I discover more castles and more stories, they fit together like a jigsaw, as the stories of one fit in with another, and finding the missing pieces becomes all but an obsession. Do I need help?......then many many others do too.

My England

Whilst not having as many castles per square mile as Scotland or Wales,  England does have a large number of very famous castles, and many more lesser-known ones.

My interest in castles began at a very early age, and I always looked forward to the school holidays, when we could go and visit various ruins.
My initial aim was to collect postcards of all the castles in England, Scotland and Wales.

Furthermore, I also discovered that there were many castle sites where no physical evidence of the presence of a castle existed, except for perhaps.....
