An old engraving of Deal Castle, as it was in 1640. This engraving was produced c.1780, and recently added to my collection.

Another old postcard of Deal Castle, recently purchased.
Now, before anyone tells me I've got it wrong, I KNOW this one says Walmer Castle (lower left-hand corner), but it is actually of Deal Castle. I looked at this one at the postcard fair and thought there was something wrong. Having been to both Walmer and Deal, although they are similar, this one is DEFINITELY Deal Castle.
