Normal and you simply preview the post then they start to work again. I have no idea wbut something in the main programming of the board causes that.

I found out recently that a boyfriend of a close relative of mine owns 35 acreas right in the area that I want to build. Right?, so I'm thinking...SCORE!
Then I find out that he'd probably only sell it for 1.2 mil.
But hey, that's how it goes and good for the guy. I might still pursue it anyway. But how the wheels start turning when one gets hopeful.
Maybe something can be worked out with the relative, it might come together for you, :biggrin2: try it and see.

Welcome!!
Come in and have a seat, let me tell you a wee bit about the place,
Patterned from taverns found in the UK dating from the 12c to 17c .
Upon entering you will notice the atmosphere of the old being carefully brought to the present with painstaking reconstruction.
Your feel the same that others must have from those earlier centuries when they too visited a newly built Inn.
Wooden tables and chairs will provide the seating for our guests with the medieval ambiance being enhanced by booths for private dining.
In one corner of the common room will be a large fire place used for cooking and the baking of breads.
A wooden screen will separate the kitchen from the eating areas.
So until it can be finished, we invite you here to have a cup or two, and maybe something to eat from what's cooking in the fire place.
As you noticed on the board when you came in, the menu is always open for discussion.
From Lady Megan and I,
WELCOME!!

Okla where the wind comes sweeping...... in force 5 tornadoes, yea this place. Where a stone castle really does have reasons to be built.
Can you imagine one of your green avocados in over 200 mile an hour winds?? ..... :uhoh: sudder....
O'yes by the way, I am jealous! The little golf ball sized ones here are running over 2 dollars each :madgo: and they were froze in route, yechhhhh !
Any thing we make here is for our own consumption, :beerchug: so far, just getting ready for when the doors really do open and the B+B starts up, until then it's only some of our walk in guests that are tortured.
I still haven't figured out the spam reference yet.

Thank you for the warm greeting.
My site.... well it started as a dedication page. Once I figured out how to turn on a pc I wanted to make one for someone who had passed. From there I found that web design was "fun" lol ok so its a lot of headbanging when you don't have anyone to ask questions of. But alas I am pretty stubborn and the site just grew as I learned to do different things. I have always been craft oriented, to me this was just a new craft.
I've dabbled in html, dhtml, flash, javascript, perl, I went through a stage where I made "skins" for things like winamp, yahoo and icq. Wallpapers, screensavers, hotbar skins, winamp visulizations, you name it I've tried it.
I really should pick one thing and take the time to focus on it so I could become very good at it, problem is since I do my sites alone, if something needs to be done.... well I have to learn to do it
I bought my domain name in january for 10 yrs. I also own realloveisforever.com and realloveisforever.net, although since the server has crashed I haven't really had time to mess with them. I spend about 14 hrs a day on this pc. If I am going to melt my brain it wont be on a tv set :computore:
As far as the "company" thing goes I think someone would have to i dunno pay me or something to actually call it that. So far every site I have built has been for free. I figure I'll work at the reference thing first
I first started playing with ikonboard around 2 months ago.
I used to go to excite vp if any of you have ever been there and to the "800 keen psychic parlor" or the "psycho parlor" as we so fondly called it, my name there was

or -silent.moon-
I'm seldom there anymore but I am always running across people I met there. (*ponders* do I attract the psychos or do they attract me)

I remember Dark Shadows and some of the people still linger in the recesses of my mind, but the one I liked the most was Barnabas Collins, what was the name of his castle? You'd think I would remember that as much as I love these old piles of stone.

The castle name was Collinwood
QUOTE
Dark Shadows began it's life as a gothic soap opera soon to change into a more supernatural type of soap. This show went through many changes starting with it's title. Before airing as Dark Shadows, titles for the show included The House on Widow's Hill, Castle of Darkness, Terror at Collinwood, and Shadows on the Wall.
Originally airing on June 27, 1966 on the ABC Network, Dark Shadows' run lasted through April 2, 1971. It's popularity however is still going strong today. The show spawned books, comic books, movies, toys, and even a remake during the television season of 1991. Today there are still fan gatherings, fan clubs, fan fiction, and a multitude of web pages devoted to the show.
Created by Dan Curtis, the Dark Shadows idea actually came to him from a dream. His dream was of a young lady riding a train towards a gothic mansion. That mansion become Collinwood. And the dream became the opening to the first episode of the series. Originally planned to be a gothic drama, as mentioned above, Dark Shadow's evolved into being something of an enigma for it's time. The show featured werewolves, time travel, parallel universes, vampires, and ghosts. This was not to be your normal run of the mill 60's soap.
Ratings were not high during the run of Dark Shadows. Slow rise in ratings prompted the addition of ghosts to the story, following the ghosts there was a phoenix named Laura. After Laura helped bring the ratings up a bit, we were introduced to a new type of character...the resident vampire whom we came to know as Barnabas. Barnabas' addition to the character list brought with it unanswered questions. Fans clamored to know his story and how he had come to be a vampire. This triggered the introduction of time travel to the stories. We were taken back in time to witness how this had happened to Barnabas. Following the time travel the stories just kept progressing with the introduction of parallel worlds. Where characters had the same names but were not the same people they were in this world. aka today's Sliders.

Sounds good to me! Other than mead, what would you suggest?
Well, while mead certainly is a great way to whet the thirst, I was thinking of some hearty Middle Age fare like a Cockentrice...you know, that traditional dish where the chef cuts a suckling pig and a capon in half, sews the two halves together, stuffs it with bread and tasty vegetables, roasts it and glazes it with egg yolks and parsley juice to give it the appearence of tarnished gold... I don't mind adding it the menu, but I'd rather wait a few days to cook one, since I just had Cockentrice for supper last night and now I'm forced to eat Cockentrice sandwiches until the leftovers are gone... :rasp: perhaps just a trencher of fruit and cheese to chase down the ale (and the tea, too, Lady Raven!) for now.
Perhaps if the Tavern Keeper is willing, I could put a menu together of real Renaisance food so we can all have a bite now and again and listen to more of Trooper's Tales!
Cheers! :beerchug:
p.s. If you doubt the Cockamamie Cockentrice, just click the attachment! :rasp:

Hi Duncan,
I posted an answer about the hacks you were looking for on my board for you. Online/offline is made in your board, its the lightbulb beside the avatars.
Since your using 3.1.1 there are not as many that have been made compatable, but there are more every day! The best source for 3.0.x hacks I put a link to on the reply. Sly's site is probably the best for 3.1.x hacks, he has reworked a lot of them his self.
