A glass of red wine a day could stave off deafness in old age. Moderate consumption protects tiny hairs inside the ear that are vital for hearing, researchers say.
Wine contains an antioxidant called resveratol which destroys free radicals - disease-causing chemicals which damage those delicate hairs.
Dr. Jochen Schacht, of the University of Michigan, said, "The jury is still out on antioxidants, but it wouldn't hurt to increase the amount of red wine you consume."

Does that mean I can now increase my input from one bottle a day
