You guys keep hearing about Time Team and never get the chance to see it, well now you can.
A 3 disc DVD set divided into summaries of the shows on various eras of British history, with some extra bits of interest like two Xmas Specials, a half hour interview with Tony Robinson, and a Behind the Scenes session with Mick the dig, etc

There's a bit about two American Bombers they dug up in Norfolk which crashed in WW2, a Spitfire in France, various Norman Castles, Bridgenorth Castle.......144 1 hour programmes edited down into 6 hrs 40min + 3 Hrs 20min of extras.
All good stuff.

And another..
The Castles of Scotland, a 1987 BBC tv 5 part series giving a video tour of Edinburgh, Stirling , Glamis, Culzean and Dunrobin.
Narrated in typical early BBC dry Queens English by noted writer and historian Dr Ian Grimble, it consists of five 30 minute programmes one on each castle, that doesn't detract from the quality of the tours, although the footage is obviously dated.
It was released by REL Records of Edinburgh in 2004, though it's not until you read the end credits of each programme that you realise it was originally a BBC production.
A worthwhile purchase for tourists who didn't make the visits, and for castle enthusiasts who can also appreciate the later adaptations of the buildings.
Not bad at £10, and mine is region 0, meaning it's playable everywhere.

ROYAL BUMPS RIDDLE
THE Queen has asked TV's Time Team to investigate unusual bumps in the grounds at Holyrood Palace.

Presenter Tony Robinson and his crew hope to tell the story of how the palace developed out of a 12th century Augustinian abbey.

The Queen has shown a particular interest in origins of a mysterious mound in the grounds of her Edinburgh residence - the former home of Mary Queen of Scots.

The dig is part of a live event at three of the Queen's residences, including Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle, over next weekend.

Time Team expert Phil Harding said: "The Queen is intrigued about what's under all the bumps and lumps."

The show starts on Friday evening.
