Any clue to as why the lower left store has a different ceiling then the others? Could it have been a private Chapel maybe?

Details from the same source as the plans.

QUOTE
The South-West Tower
The ground stage has a small octagonal room, covered with a vault. It was lighted by a narrow loop in the west wall, which was later enlarged. This was probably a strong-room as the door opens outwards, as do those of the other small chambers at the west end of the ground stage. The next two stages contain a circular stair leading up to the Chancellor's apartments. Above this was a fourth stage containing a chamber. This tower is also covered with a modern roof, which obliterates the wall-walk and battlements.
