Duncan
It's the old open the topic to all thingy with new twists,

*Go to the main forums page and hit the topic link on the left by the button (Celtic Knot)
The right link opens the last posting

*Go to the box:
Order last post....A-Z... set to all...topics all.....push go

#Now that last box is where it gets interesting, when you open it your see some of the new changes.

*Or:
On the page you opened and wrote this on is a small box in the lower right corner below the post thats says Next Oldest..... LINKS..... Next Newest you can push the next oldest which will get you there,

http://www.ibiblio.org/

This site is not an easy one to describe. It is actually a FULL LIBRARY on line containing very very old and even new books in their entirety.
Most are PDF's that you can down load to save.

The site owners are several University's and have Mirror sites all over the world, clearly they do not want this information to disappear as so much has in such a short amount of time.

I can not begin to tell you of the different subjects that are listed.
It's a site that you will have to explore and the best way at first is to use a Goggle search like this one

Antique prints and antique maps A great site!!
AJR
Yep - that's one site I go to regularly, and have even bought a couple of prints from there.
Duncan
If you listed that one tell me and I'll remove this link thanks
AJR
Keep it - I probably forgot to list it before anyway.

Simulated granite flooring
This site explains things better then I can laughlong.gif
Galla
Great site, interesting concept. Thinking I like slate flooring a bit better though, and figure would hide a bit more soil, etc.
Duncan
I prefer the slate look too, so I learned how to simulate it.

Paul
Are you suggesting that we should wash more often? cool1.gif
Paul
Oh, and in reference to http://www.castles-of-britain.com/ I have refused them a link to my site due to the fact that their site contains so many historical innacuracies and also that they charge for some of their "services".
So sue me!
Megan
Thanks Paul we welcome all opinions even if they do not match ours.
We are here out to try to point out correct info.
Can you point us to some of the inaccuracies that need to be corrected?
Megan
On second thought Paul could you please create a topic called Paul's Links in the Links section. That way you could show us your favorites and why? I think it might be interesting reading for all that come to visit us.
Gordon
The thing with Castles of Britain is that it's aimed at kids, and often (even in school texts) when aiming at juniors, simple explanations miss details which are important to the overall story. All in all it's a pretty good site for kids, but not exciting reading for the rest of us.
It's easy to pick holes in sites like that, a bit like opposition parties being able to pick holes in the performance of the ruling party in government, because they themselves are not in power, and have no performance to answer to.
I have no hesitation in recommending CoB to kids, but not to anyone with a serious interest in castles, Castles of Wales in much better for adults.
Gordon
Paul, re your site, I notice that you cover three castles, and wish to expand, do you have immediate plans?
I also note that as affiliates you advertise a variety of book sellers, how are you affiliated to them? I just wondered if I'm missing out on something.
Paul
For the last 8 months or so I have been working on a new website which will include many more castles and even a few churches.
All I need is some good weather so I can get out and take a load of photos.
I am affiliated to the book sellers on my site and have made the grand total of £0:00 so far. baaa.gif
Gordon
Are you just aiming at English Castles or are you crossing borders?
Are you supposed to get paid per click?
Paul
I'm featuring only Kent castles, cathedrals and churches.
I'm am supposed to get paid commission for every book that is
bought through my site.
Go buy some and make me rich! yikes.gif
Gordon
bah.gif There's not many get rich in the publishing world.
