Black Berry Scrumbles

3 large cups of fresh blackberrys, rinsed and drained
1 1/2 cups of butter
2 cups of sifted white flour,
{or substitute 1/2 cup of rolled oats}
1/2 teas sea salt
1 1/2 cup of sugar or to taste depending on your berry's, turbo or white your choice
2 cups water

melt butter at room temp,
mix butter, flour, sugar, water, salt, to make a thick batter and pour over layer of berrys in baking dish,
cook at 325 or 350 depending on your stove,
until high points on the top is light golden brown and/or done,

sprinkle sugar to top, cool and serve with fresh milk.
Or make a thin sugar glaze and brush on top after it cools just enough to make it sparkle.

Sounds scrummy to me.  Can you do the same with raspberries ?

As far as know any berry would work or even fruit slices.
You might want to adjust the sugar for the type of berry.

With apples just add juice instead of the water and
1 1/2 teas of Cinnamon or more if you like.

I'm looking forward to fresh peaches with Welches peach juice instead of the water.
