I stumbled onto a recipe looking for everyday type hamburger buns and found that with a little tweeking the bread is really good.
Still looking for the right bun recipe.

Here's my tweeked version

1 cup water
2 eggs
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup Crisco
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
4 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons bread machine yeast

Mix dough by hand or in a machine, divide dough into 3 equal portions, divide each portion into 3 balls.
Turn balls in hands folding edge under to make a 3 1/2 inch circle.
Press ball flat between hands till its about a 1/2 inch high.
Place on greased cookie sheet.
Let rise 30 minutes or until double in volume.
Bake at 350 for about 10 minutes or until lightly brown.

opt.
Combine 1 slightly beaten egg with 1 tbsp.
water and brush on buns.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Sounds great! Thanks for sharing. Right now been busy working on a Middle Eastern luncheon for our kingdom royalty for an event coming up. Will post the recipies soon, thinking of lamb kabobs with a mint-yougart sauce, a cracked bulgar salad with olives and roma tomatoes (yeah, they are not period, but pretty) and orange humus with freshly baked flat bread.

Still looking for something to add for the drink....only two weeks to get it finished up. HolySheep.gif
